I’m a little late, but I did want to say something about the whole 16-year-old-terrorists-calling-themselves-pirates thing.
First off, a big part of my problems with the country right now, stem from the civilians. Sorry, but it’s true.I am trying so hard to keep the faith, but there are certain corners of the country that are bringing all of us down. (you know Wimmer, maybe I should listen to Glenn more. He thinks we surround them.) Maybe I am falling for the garbage the media is selling. It sure seems like we are just a bunch of whiny little babies in this country.
Just as one example without going into too much detail, why is everyone so freaked out about the salaries of CEO’s in this country, but no one cares what we pay a stupid quarterback or a first-baseman? How insane is that? No one cares about how much Tom Hanks makes by spitting on and insulting Latter-day Saints week after week. Self-righteous Hollywood morons like Hanks are the worst. I wish he wasn’t such a great actor. I really liked him a lot. It makes me sad that he doesn’t respect people who may have differing opinions or values at all.

ut a big place I can go to have my faith restored, is the US Military and SEAL’s have got to be the toughest men on the planet. This particular event may not reflect toughness, but it certainly is an illustration of the discipline and skills they possess. I love these guys. 3 synchronized shots fired from 3 rifles, resulting in 3 dead terrorists, all at night on choppy water. Unstoppable.
So after a long day of observing how stupid Amerikan’s are getting day after day and how our politicians are taking us all to hell in a rowboat I love to read about my fellow Americans in the military. It is impossible to put myself in the same category with a SEAL, and I never would try except in the we-are-all-in-the-military, most general sense. I am proud to be in the military, and while originally the reason for signing up was for my country, my reason for staying is more specifically the Constitution and my bigger and tougher brothers-in-arms. I am proud to be associated with them, even in the most distant general sense. It’s more than Tom Hanks can say.
To be honest, I went to Iraq for Tom Hanks too, but only by default because I am sure he was opposed to me being there. There are far too many in this country who just don’t understand freedom, personal responsibility and the relationship they have with one another. Hanks is happy as a lark to exercise his freedom of speech at the expense of what others hold sacred. How narcissistic he is!
Maybe he should work at the new Guantanamo so he can flush the Koran down the toilet and tear up prayer rugs. I suppose that should be a separate rant.
Pirates are holding about a dozen ships with more than 200 crew members, according to the Malaysia-based piracy watchdog International Maritime Bureau. Hostages are from Bulgaria, China, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, the Philippines, Russia, Taiwan, Tuvalu and Ukraine, among other countries.
I wont give my unbridled opinion on what I think SHOULD happen here, because I would likely be labeled a war-monger or something. I will just say it’s too bad these other countries don’t have Navy SEALs and the will to use them. Hopefully, Obama will not back down from these dirt bags, but since they are talking about trying this kid criminally, I won’t hold my breath.
